The Exterior

At my local Epsom & Ewell MRC show, a few years ago, I bought a selection of embossed plastic sheets. They were rejects and were being sold very cheaply. They were also somewhere between A4 and A3 size. Of particular interest were some white and clear sheets of what I considered cladding material, the scale of which looked perfect for G scale. There was also some large English bond brickwork of indeterminate scale, but large enough to match. They made their way into the existing box of plastic sheeting!
While working on the building roof, I was considering the required overhang of main roof board that I had just made and found myself looking at the end wall. I hadn't given it much thought, but probably just intended to paint it black. I immediately rifled through the plastic sheet store and recovered the cladding and brickwork. A quick sketch later and a card former was cut out, followed by the cladding and brick panels. A drip-cill section was fabricated from plain plastic and glued in place together with the wall sheets. A coat of red primer was applied. A verge section will be created once the roof is in place.
